Other Categories
What is the Other Category? Well, these are categories that didn’t match any of the built-in categories. These are categories that you probably created yourself on Mint.com’s site.
Unknown to MintToReport On each import, if MintToReport can’t find a category when imported (you custom categories), it will display the Unknown Category form where you can assign its parent category.
Try to assign to the correct parent category. But, if you mess up, just drag and drop them where they need to be. MintToReport will save your categories to a database so the next time you do an import, they will fall into the right place. Moving these categories is a one-time job unless you create new categories down the road or reinstall the software, so don’t fret. It is recommended that you use the Backup Utility (File Menu > Backup/Restore) to back up your database. This way, if you ever need to reinstall, you won’t have to save your categories again. The backup will also save your settings are saved User Reports.
