Version 4.1

  • Now supports macOS 10.15.
  • Fixed the bug where MintToReport would close after a successful import.
  • Removed calculated account balances
  • Refined the Account Ledger report (now Reconcile Report)
  • Fixed a couple of bugs when using NOT with tags.

Now Serving Version 4.0

4.0 is a new era in MintToReport. Now with MintToReport being able to keep track of your account balances, a world of reports and charts opens up. As always, I take requests for new reports. Along with that, MintToReport is no longer a 32-bit program, but a true macOS 64-bit program. Sorry, mac users, for the delay as I had promised the software would be ready by the final release of Catalina. Begin in the middle of a new release, and the added security hoops Apple has provided, it has taken me a bit longer.

Note: This update must be downloaded from our website. If you have 3.x installed, it will install 4.0 in a separate folder, using your 3.x data. You may uninstall 3.x once 4.0 has been installed. Click here to download the software from your account page.

  • NOW Serving macOS 64-bit. MintToReport has finally gone 64-bit, just in time for Catalina. This is a must update for all macOS users moving to Catalina.
  • New Welcome Tab. There is now a new Welcome Tab. It includes:
    – Account Balances for upcoming reports. In most cases, you will enter your current balances right after you complete a new import. Once entered, MintToReport will keep track of your balances separate from Mint. This will give you a good idea if you ever have duplicate or missing transactions.
    * Recent News from the MintToReport blogs.
    * Keeps track of the number of transactions you last imported and the date.
    * Import directly from the Welcome Tab.
  • New Account Ledger. This report takes full advantage of the account balances. This report will give you a Beginning and Ending balance for any date range you choose. It also includes a running balance. With this report, you can easily set the dates in MintToReport to your monthly Bank Statement dates and compare the opening and ending balance against your statement. Thus reconciling your account with one simple report. This report is for one account only and only dates can be changed. No filtering allowed.
  • New Windows 64-bit Hints. Since version 3.0, user popup hints have not worked in the Windows 64-bit version. It has been working fine in the Windows 32-bit and macOS versions, just not the Windows 64-bit version. Now, they are available and turned on automatically in this version.
  • Fixed Period Comparison Report: Broken in the last version, when first displaying the report it would not display the report properly. Once you changed the Date Range, all columns displayed properly. Now the report displays correctly the first time it is loaded.
  • Fixed Double Refreshing: some reports were loading twice thus refreshing the Report Preview. This should now be fixed.
  • Other bug fixes

Version 3.7.2 Released (9/24/2019)

Version 3.7.2

  • New Description Monthly Totals Report: Very similar to the Monthly Category Report, this will display your Payees or Description monthly totals by Category.
  • Fixed Demo Database: While the Demo database would open fine, if you exited the software and started it back up, you would get an unrecoverable error causing you force close the program. This now works as expected.
  • Removed $’s: Removed the dollar signs from the Monthly Category and Description reports. This will leave a little more room for larger amounts within the cells.
  • Print Red Fixed: There is an option to print negative numbers in red. In version 3.7.1 broke that option, only the last 4 reports honored it. Fixed.
  • Income and Expense Detail Report: Was receiving an error when generating the report. The report is accurate but was not printing negative numbers red. Both the error message and the red option fixed.
  • Fixed Sorting: No both new 12-month reports sort both the Descriptions and Categories correctly within their parent category.

Version 3.7.0: Now AvaIlable (New 12-month Category Report)

Version 3.7.0 (9/14/2019)

    • NEW Monthly Category Report. It has been designed to display 12 months on a single landscape page but will include as many months as you wish to view, though splitting the report between pages.
    • New Report Zoom: When previewing the report in the Default View Setting, you can now zoom from 100% to 200%. This feature may come in handy on reports where I have to use a smaller font, like then new 12-month Category Report.
    • Report Outline Changes: Earlier versions, if you were displaying the Report Outline, it would be blank on the Cross Table reports (last three reports). Outlines are there to make it easier to navigate both the Preview and an exported PDF file. Now when selecting any of the cross reports, the Outline won’t be displayed.
    • Report Tips Fixed: The optional Report Descriptions, displayed in yellow above the report when turned on in from the Tools Menu, was not displaying the correct descriptions when changing reports.
    • Red Fonts Fixed: Now all report support red when displaying negative amounts. Both the Period to Date and the Period Comparison did not honor the setting.
    • Cross Table Report: Added some shades of gray on the total lines to make them easier to read.
    • Period Report: Fixed the alignment of the totals

    Misc bug fixes

Version 3.6.2 (pre-release)

Version 3.6.1 – Released

  • Increased the number of personal installations
Starting with version 3.6.1, I have decided that I want to make MintToReport as convenient as possible. I would guess, 50% or more of my customers have 2 or more computers. So, the following licensing changes have been implemented:
    1) The Standard Windows License has been increased from 1 to 3 concurrent installations
    2) The Standard MacOS License has been increased from 1 to 3 concurrent installations

Version 3.4.7 changes

If you are running version 3.2.0.0 or later, just start MintToReport on your computer to update the software. Otherwise, visit the Downloads section of your Account Page.

  • IMPORTANT UPDATE! Fixes for Mint’s New Export Format.
Mint is now exporting additional fields depending on the type of accounts you have. This has caused earlier versions to import incorrectly. This version will ignore any additional fields Mint adds, now and into the future.
  • Now supports local Regional Settings.
Added the ability to run MintToReport using your default Currency and Date formats. Earlier versions required that you set up your PC in English USA formats. This means that our French Canadian users can now run the software using their own date and currency settings. Let me know if you would like the software totally translated to French.
  • Now, when using the Back Button, it will return to the report and report page
  • Attempting to print charts wouldn’t work and would cause an unlimited error until the user restarted the software. Fixed.
  • Other misc fixes.

Version 3.4.5 is now available

  • Added a NEW Report Outline to the Preview! The new Outline acts as a Table of Contents for your larger reports.

  • Added new PDF Export which optionally will include your Outline for navigation within

  • New Find Transactions on Mint search options when you click on the Detail Button (). Each option will open your default browser, open a new tab and search Mint. You will need to be logged into Mint in your Default Browser to use any of these new Search Options otherwise you will be prompted to do so.

  • Added new Backup and Restore (off the File Menu). Not only will this protect your settings and transactions, but it should also make it easier to share your data between different installations.
  • NEW double click Header. Personally, I found myself clicking on the Header by accident. Now, to edit the Report Header requires that you double-click instead of a single click on the header. I am happy.
  • NEW Field Selections added to the Preview Popup Menu (right mouse click ). Now, quickly change the 4th column.

  • NEW Mint tools. Export from Mint will use your Default Browser to download your transactions. Set Mint Date Range will open Mint in your Default Browser and limit Mint to the Date Range you have selected in the software. Similar to some Chrome extensions, but works in all Browsers.

  • Fixed: Problems when users have a Category that included a parenthesis.
  • Fixed: Page numbers  were not being updated in the Spinner above the report
