The biggest change, other then the new user interface, in MintToReport 3 is that it now understands your Categories and Subcategories.
When you Export Mint.com transactions, the export file only includes Category names. They don’t include any relationships to other categories in your Mint.com data. They don’t tell you what their parent’s categories are or if they are a parent category. Because of this, earlier version of MintToReport would just give you a list of categories to choose from not knowing what type of category it was (Income, Expense ..) or if it was a parent category or subcategory. MintToReport 1 and 2 were category blind making it impossible (or hard) to create accurate Income and Expense reports.
